The David Hope RE Centre
The David Hope RE Centre in York is one of the
major religious education resource centres in the UK. It
provides resources and a consultancy service for teachers and
headteachers in both church and community schools and serves church
ministers, youth workers and others involved in religious education
both within their own faith community and in the wider
community.
The Centre is an inset provider for individual
schools, local education authorities and dioceses, and arranges
courses for clergy, teachers, governors and others working in
religious education. It provides short term in-service
training for schools on issues such as RE, Collective Worship,
Church School Ethos and Moral and Spiritual
Development. Training programmes are negotiated individually
with the Head of Centre.
