Film & Television Production
Independent Project Pre-Production: Level 3

Arts and aims to provide you with the experience of working as
independent producers of work from the point of conception to the
point of production. You will form your own company in order to
achieve this outcome and in doing so you will embrace commercial
considerations as well as artistic ones. The module forms the basis

storyboarding, etc.) but also the conceptual and economic
pre-production activities that underpin successful independent
production work.
Short Film and Television Production Project: Level 3
This module aims to provide you with the experience of working
as independent producers of work. The formulation of a proposal for
final production which includes evidence of exploration of factual
or fictional short film or television forms the basis of the final
project. You will take on board the responsibility for developing
project work within the researched parameters of professional

consumption. The process and production will be tracked by a
written document. (Normally, students will undertake two practical
production projects).
