Within the Faculty of Health & Life
Sciences at York St John University almost all of the full-time
and part-time degree programmes we offer are accredited by the
relevant professional bodies. We take great pride in the links we
have developed with employers and seek to provide placement and
other work-based learning opportunities for undergraduate and
postgraduate students alike.
Our physiotherapy programmes are approved by the Health
Professions Council (HPC) and the Chartered Society of
Physiotherapy (CSP). Successful completion of the BHSc Hons

with the HPC, and for full membership of the CSP.
The BSc (Hons) programme provides the Graduate Basis for

minimum standard of qualification of second class honours is
achieved. This is the first step towards becoming a Chartered

the National Skills Academy indicating our commitment to providing
training to help raise the standards and professionalism within the
- BASES endorsement of our BSc programmes that assures the
appropriateness of the curriculum, resources and opportunities for
training sport and exercise scientists.
