Internationalisation
York St John University has a tradition of
welcoming international students. Around seven per cent of the
student body is from overseas, with additional numbers taking a
range of short courses on campus and with the delivery of provision
through partners based overseas. There is a drive to build upon our
international recruitment over the next three years.
The Internationalisation agenda is also focused on a range of
other strategic developments to benefit student and academic
engagement in a global context. This work is articulated in York St
John’s Internationalisation Strategy. The University is actively
forging a range of academic partnerships, joint projects,
international conferences and exchange opportunities. There are
long established links with Japan, China and USA and fast
developing relationships in a number of countries, including
Pakistan, Bahrain, Kenya, and South Korea.
The international agenda also incorporates the way in which the
University integrates the international dimension into its delivery
and opportunities for students to engage as global citizens in
overseas visits, projects and exchanges.
