Enterprise and Employability
Provide opportunities for all students to develop employability
and enterprise skills to achieve their career potential and satisfy
employer needs.
Key Objectives for 2012-15:
- Embed employability and enterprise
skills through research informed and/or industry-led academic
programmes.
- Develop strong relationships with
employers to enhance student, staff and graduate development
opportunities.
- Ensure that all students have access
to high quality careers education, information, advice and guidance
to prepare them for work in the global market.
- Encourage, reward and celebrate
student engagement and participation in extra-curricular
activities.
- Engage Alumni to enhance student
opportunities whilst developing their own career and leadership
skills.
- Increase opportunities and support
for student enterprise, innovation and business start-up.
- Further develop our programme of
graduate and undergraduate internships and other work-related
opportunities.
- Communicate our employability and
enterprise offer.
- Develop opportunities for effective
knowledge transfer and research to support the local, regional and
national economies.
