Alchemists at Work

Welcome
This web location is aimed at students,
practitioners and academics alike, seeking to provide an insight
into theatre practice in applied and community contexts. The site
includes practical examples of artists' work and ideas, giving
access to approaches as a learning resource to
support teaching strategies for applied theatre.
Chris Johnston defines theatre practitioners
operating in community contexts as a ‘hybrid of artist, organiser
and teacher…trying to work a certain alchemy in unlikely
situations’
