Joint Honours students benefit from the research of academic staff working in two subjects. For example, if you are studying History and English Literature and are interested in the Victorian period it's possible to study modules in nineteenth century literature and Victorian history.

Students on our Joint Honours programmes can enjoy the opportunities available from studying a wider range of subjects. From theatre visits and field trips to studying abroad and working with visiting writers,  there are dozens of exciting possibilities.     In Joint Honours all subjects include group work and in some subject areas there are opportunities to deliver presentations with others as part of your assessment. You will also get the opportunity to undertake an experiential  learning opportunity or work placement in one of your subject areas. This gives you the opportunity to develop valuable experience which will help you in the job market.
