Mission Statement of the Buddy up Scheme
The Buddy up Scheme
provides new and existing students the opportunity to form
supportive partnerships that are mutually beneficial and add
to the York St John University student experience.
Key Aims of the Scheme
- To provide each first year student with a
Buddy who can support them as they settle in to University and
promote engagement in University life.
- Encourage students to develop friends and
support networks so they are better equipped to deal with
challenges they may face whilst being a student.
- Provide current students with the
opportunity to develop skills through mentoring which will enhance
their CV and further career prospects.
