This year’s Enterprise Day event opened with an
opportunity for five young businesses to pitch to a panel of angel
investors with prizes including a laptop, a Google training package
of search engine optimisation support from the Local Enterprise
Partnership and a 12-month subscription to Royal Mail’s Simple Ways
to Grow package up for grabs.
Jo Blackburn of Sona Creative Marketing impressed the panel with
her presentation and was delighted to be selected as winner. Jo is a York St
John Business School graduate and a recent participant on the
Acorns Plus StartUp Programme. Sona Creative Marketing
is based in Phoenix
Court - a think tank of bright
creative young businesses for York St John University to champion.
The objective is to support these entrepreneurs to produce robust,
stable, and adaptable companies.
