Andreas is a Senior Lecturer at York St John
Business School and also Head of Programme for the development of
international programmes. Since he began working in Higher
Education in 2004 Andreas has been involved in a variety of
consultancy projects that include DEFRA, the International Finance
Corporation, Virgin Holidays, the Higher Education Academy and the
University Forum for Human Resource Development. Andreas has
undertaken commissioned research into higher education for a number
of UK subject associations including the Higher Education Academy.
His research interests revolve around corporate social
responsibility, entrepreneurship and career development
particularly within the context of the tourism industry.
Andreas has reviewed papers for numerous
journals including Annals of Tourism Research, Education and
Training, Journal of Hospitality, Sport Leisure and Tourism,
International Migration and Sport, Business, Management: an
International Journal. He has been an invited speaker at a number
of conferences, most recently having been asked to present a
seminar on developing staff to create more sustainable businesses
at CIFAL Findhorn, a United Nations Institute for Training and
Research affiliated training centre.
