Profile Teaching Professional Activities Publications

I am a Qualified A1 Assessor for British Sign Language which allows me to teach and assess students at an advanced qualification level.

I hold a Teaching Fellowship here at York St John University involved in research and development of BSL

I am engaged in Professional Development by being continually involved as a student myself recently completing a Postgraduate Diploma in Health Practice (Commendation) and many other courses and continued study in the language I teach. In order to be a good teacher you must know how to be a student. I am hoping to go on to do further study in 2013 (MA).

I am a member of Signature the awarding body of BSL qualifications engaged in developing communication with d/Deaf people.

We are developing further qualifications and awards to be taught here at York St John hoping to introduce further study in BSL Deaf awareness and Culture as a full accredited course.
