I have conducted research in Facial
Expressions that is still on-going and would like to be more
involved in research in the future, hoping to develop areas of
interest and teaching here at York St John in the future possibly
an MA programme or Deaf culture course at the university. With
increasing interest and student numbers I hope to take BSL at YSJ
as high as it can go.
I am also involved in a team developing a PhD
programme at the university Translating BSL and Linguistics with Dr
Andrew Merrison.
Qualifications Include:
- PCAP (Post Graduate
Certificate in Academic Practice) - York St John University
- Post Graduate Diploma in
Health Practice (Commendation) – University of Northumbria
- Level 6 Signature Award in
British Sign Language (On-going) – Degree equivalent
