Profile Teaching Professional Activities Research & Publications

 

Clare is a member of the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language (IATEFL) and a regular presenter at their annual conferences (2010, 2012 and 2013).

She is also a member of the National Association for Language Development in the Curriculum (NALDIC), a professional organisation supporting English as an Additional Language in the UK, and is a founder member of NALDIC’s Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Group established in October 2012.

Clare has a close and collaborative relationship with the British Council since 2010, being an ELTRP grant-holder and following this research paper up with a further publication and an appearance as a speaker during the 2012-2013 Teaching English seminar series, at the Evening Seminar for EAL teachers in May 2013.

Additionally, she has recently become a member of the Languages in a Network of European Excellence (LINEE+), which aims to facilitate collaboration and support for researchers in multilingualism across Europe.

Clare is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and presented on Academic Literacies and Internationalisation during their 2012 seminar series.
