Faculty

Groups of academic departments. Staff and students are members of the faculty in which they study. At York St John University the faculties are: Health and Life Sciences, Education and Theology, Arts, and the Business School.

 

Foundation Degree

A 2 year course which allows you to combine workplace learning with academic study. These often have more flexible entry requirements, and can be converted into a full 3 year degree if you choose to continue with your studies.

 

Funding

The term used to cover all of the money available to students while they study. Includes grants, loans, bursaries, and scholarships.
