UCAS

The centralised system for university applications. This allows you to apply to several universities, but only fill in one application form! See http://www.ucas.ac.uk/

 

UCAS tariff

The system where each qualification you have is awarded a certain number of points. Your points are added together to help universities decide whether to offer a place. Alternatively they may give you a conditional offer which requires you to achieve a certain amount of points.

 

Unconditional offer

 An offer from a university with no conditions attached – if you accept it you have a place at university!

 

Undergraduate

 The level of course that you study before you graduate with a degree.
