Writing a Covering Letter
If you are asked to submit a CV as a job application, there is a
fair chance you will also be asked to include a covering letter, or
supporting statement. This can either be the actual text of the
email, or as a separate word document. This is vitally important
aspect of a job application – it’s your chance to really ‘sell’
yourself to an employer, and demonstrate why you are the right
person for the job. If you are submitting a speculative application
to someone, this is also an important way to explain why you think
they should consider hiring you.

useful pointers for writing a covering letter, including an
