Graduate recruitment schemes

‘Graduate recruitment scheme’ is a general term for the recruitment programmes that larger employers offer graduates. They often include extended training and development programmes for the graduate over their first 1-2 years (or more), and in many cases are designed to progress talented graduates into management positions. Although they are most commonly found in larger companies, who may take on several graduates every year, smaller/local organisations also run graduate recruitment schemes. Generally speaking these are well paid job opportunities, which offer a great opportunity for career progression and development.

The application process for graduate recruitment schemes is often a multi-stage process, starting with an online application form, one or more initial interview stages, an assessment centre, and other tests or interviews.  You can find out more about graduate recruitment schemes (http://www.grb.uk.com/graduate-schemes.0.html) or search for jobs on YSJConnect. Milkround is also recognised nationally as the place where many graduate schemes are advertised.

The Careers & Employability team can help you through your application for a graduate recruitment scheme. We run information sessions, and workshops to help you practice for the assessment centres.
