Volunteering

Career Development job shopOur guide What is the Voluntary Sector can help you identify how volunteering can enhance your employability and improve your chances of reaching your career goal. A list of useful information sources is also included.

The vacancy service is supported by prospects.ac.uk, the UK's National Graduate Careers Service website. You will need to register with the service in order to access this information; if you are already registered with any of the prospects services, you can use the same username and password. There is also an e-mail vacancy notification service available to those who register.

The Careers & Employability team can provide you with information and advice on how volunteering can help you and also advise you how to access local, national and international opportunities. The library holds books on volunteering. For help with finding voluntary work, you can visit the YSJ Connect pages on Volunteering, or contact us for further information and advice.
