Different skills are needed for different jobs, but it might
surprise you how many employers are also looking for similar
transferable skills that you can easily develop whilst at
University.

Commercial Awareness
Initiative/Self-motivation
Customer Service
The good news is, these are all skills that you can easily develop
whilst at University, whether it’s through working part-time in a
bar or supermarket, volunteering in the local community, being a
member of a society’s committee, on a work placement, or working as
a student ambassador.
Of course, there are lots of other skills that you can develop
at University that can help prepare you for different careers. You
