Creative Business

Creative Business at York St John University, in partnership with CidaCo, is providing an extraordinary opportunity for creative YSJ students and graduates. We are offering a free skills development programme for artists and creative entrepreneurs, including one-to-one mentoring for participants.

Six modules take place over six months and cover the key issues facing a creative business. Each of the six workshops is followed by a one-to-one mentoring session of approximately an hour and a half each, pairing every participant with a specially trained Cida Co mentor. Each mentor brings relevant, sector-specific knowledge, skills and networks to each participant.

The programme comprises six modules:

  • The Creative Entrepreneur
  • Knowing Your Customers and Your Competition
  • All Money is Not the Same – Access to Finance
  • Legal, Governance and IP
  • Innovation - Sustaining and Managing Success
  • Presenting Your Work, and Looking Ahead

Dates of the programme are: 5 February, 19 March, 16 April, 14 May, 11 June and 9 July 2013.

Cida Co tutors include Anamaria Wills, Keith Evans, Keith Arrowsmith, Chantelle Brandon Reeves and Val Monti Holland.

The deadline for applications is Monday 21 January 2013.
