The Host
The European Affective Education Network Conference is
being hosted by the Faculty of Education
and Theology at York St John
University

Our eleven-acre site on Lord Mayor's Walk is in a
stunning setting facing the world-famous York Minster across the
city walls.
Originally built around a quadrangle, newer
buildings including De Grey Court and the Fountains Learning Centre
which houses the library, IT facilities and a modern lecture
theatre. The Foss Building houses our sports hall, a physiology
laboratory, a biomechanics lab, a psychology lab, a fitness suite,
physiotherapy labs and general teaching rooms.
Other facilities include a dance studio,
drama studio, music rooms, TV and film production facilities,
editing suites and dedicated art and design studios.
The campus is designated as a no-smoking zone.
From 6.00 pm each day, smoking will only be permitted in a
designated smoking area outside the Students' Union.
The Conference Venue

The venue will be the De Grey building which is located on
the corner of Clarence Street and Lord Mayor's Walk. The Conference
Desk will be situated in the De Grey Court Building foyer
throughout the conference and conference staff will be available
there to help you should you need them.

York St John University’s campus is just a stone’s throw from
the bustling and vibrant city centre of York. The eleven-acre site
on Lord Mayor’s Walk is in a beautiful setting facing the
world-famous York Minster across the city walls.

Car parking
As we are a city centre campus there is no parking on site,
unless you hold a disabled badge. As a conference delegate we can
arrange car parking for you which is about a 15 minute walk away.

Registration Details
Information/Registration Desk

The Conference Desk will be located in
the foyer of the De Grey Court building which can be found on the
corner of Clarence Street and Lord Mayor's Walk. Delegates can
register at the Conference Desk from 09:00 am on the morning of
the 2nd July 2013. Registration will be held from 09:00
until 9:50 am.
