Theme for the 2011 lectures
'The Question of God-The Role of Faith in Contemporary
Society'
In spite of repeated media claims that science has disproved
God, God has stubbornly refused to go away. Indeed, during the
first decade of the third millennium, the question of God has never
been more relevant – not least in terms of global current
affairs.
2011 promises a stimulating series of lectures on the role of
faith in contemporary British society. We are looking forward to
welcoming an exciting range of speakers, who can be expected to
offer fresh and original insights on ‘the question of God’ from a
wide variety of different perspectives.
