Value and Virtue Conference Feedback

I liked the mix of practical V’s theoretical sessions

All keynote addresses were first rate and directly related to the conference theme, which spurred much discussion and meaningful conversations within the sessions

The ethical basis of the topic and the way the conference was conducted

Range of speakers, different levels of research experience

Keynote presentations by Julian Stern and Philip Mudd

The seminars, wide range of people and topics. The atmosphere set by YSJ

Networking, time away from the hurly burly. Listening to ideas

Chance to reconnect. Engage with new/existing ideas. Having keynotes – maybe a panel session at the end?

Networking, International perspectives

Friendliness, staff and delegates

Jean McNiff's keynote address. Adrian Klos' presentation. Philip Mudd's talk

The safe, friendly environment to share and speak. Supportive and informative

Meeting new people and hearing different voices

Meeting other people with shared interests

The rich conversations. Reconnecting with people from last year

I like all the plenary sessions, especially on the topic of publication

The organisers hospitality, dedication and willingness to help delegates

Variety, cross cultural interests/case studies

I really enjoyed the structure, variety and level of learning that was on offer

International flavour. The whole concept – a place to think about values in practice

The variety of themes dealt with from different parts of the world. Reflecting on my own practice

The friendliness of colleagues who were willing to welcome me

Julian and Jean's keynote. Inspirational and thought provoking. Philip’s input was practical and very useful

The networking which took place

Julian’s paper setting the scene for the conference

Friendly and informal. Time enough to get to talk to participants in the breaks.

Friendly atmosphere, constructive feedback offered to speakers. Lovely location, helpful staff.

Friendly, positive and encouraging atmosphere.

I enjoyed all the sessions very much and also meeting and talking to delegates. The organisation was very professional and it was all thoroughly enjoyable.

It was a great learning experience. The atmosphere was very positive and supportive and wonderful to meet people from all over the world sharing same values and aims in life but working at very different projects.

Good to have this mixture of keynote lecturers and panel sessions.

Meeting other institutions similar to Sheffield Hallam and seeing that for them ethical issues are firmly embedded into their work.

Networking

Opportunity to hear from and meet other people who are working on action research projects

Opportunity to network Friendly, secure atmosphere

The exceptional organisation of it.

The interesting spread of subjects and people who attended. Working with a range of disciplines, and nationalities. I like the conference being a small group of people as it allows for engagement that is impossible with much larger groups

The keynote speakers.

The opportunity for people to present their own ideas and views about issues.

The topics and presenters in all the sessions I went to were exceptional. I learned a great deal.

Well organised, friendly and thought provoking. Thank you.
