Our conference was a great success again, and thanks to everyone
for your support and enthusiasm. You can see the very rich feedback
and photos on the website – don’t we all look good.
Thank you to all who worked so hard –
delegates, conference staff, speakers, ambassadors, the invisible
backup teams; it all worked seamlessly, and made us feel good being
together. I do think a main feature of our conferences is that warm
feel-good factor: good people doing good work. If you look at the
photos you will see lots of laughter and joy. It reminds me of when
I was asking people for photos to go into the handbook, and a
colleague wrote back saying, ‘Will this one do? I seem only to have
happy photos of myself.’ Not a bad way to be, and perhaps this is
the case for the conference too – serious business undertaken with
commitment, joy and enthusiasm.

So we are into planning for 2013 and are
looking again at July, according to preferences stated at our
closing session. We are also investigating publishing
opportunities, and I will write to the network as more information
is forthcoming. If you have any suggestions for how we could
strengthen the conference in any way, please feel free to connect.
