Submitting an abstract
The theme for this year’s conference is
‘Influencing policy through enhancing professionalism’, and you are
invited to submit an abstract that shows how you are realizing the
theme in some way. Your paper may be a review of current practice,
or work in progress; it can give explanations of successful
research, or research that did not go according to plan. The main
thing is to show how professionalism is being enhanced, and
exercising some influence on policy thinking and
implementation.
Abstracts should be not more than 300 words,
to include any references. They should be sent to the Value and
Virtue team at valueandvirtue@yorksj.ac.uk
by 28 February 2013. Responses will be sent out by
mid-March 2013. Delegates must register for the conference by 13
April 2013 to ensure their abstracts remain on the programme.
The conference aims to include as many papers
as possible from a wide range of practice-based research
perspectives, and papers will be made available on the website
prior to the conference. We encourage innovative forms of
presentation, as well as traditional spoken forms. Dance,
performance, group work and other participative forms are
welcomed.
If you have any questions of any kind, please
write to the conference team at valueandvirtue@yorksj.ac.uk or
direct to Jean at jeanmcniff@mac.com and we will
respond as promptly as possible.
We are hoping to make this entire conference a
welcoming, pleasant and educational experience for all.
Be sure of a very warm welcome in York.
We look forward to reading your abstract
soon.
