Student Art Exhibition

On Wednesday 9 May 2012 level 3 students from the
Religion and Visual Arts module 3TH201 held an exhibition of
their work
Students participated in practical workshops enabling them
to work towards the production of a visual image as part of their
final assessment. They were expected to reflect on
and critically analyse the production and reception of visual texts
for the dissemination of religious ideas and explore a range
of sensibilities to visual images across world religions, as well
as subjective interpretations on spiritual and moral issues from
selected artists.
The students were asked to produce a visual image, or
artefact, with theological or religious
significance. The students were not assessed
on their artistic skill but on their ideas, effort and
ability to make connections between religious and theological
themes and the visual arts. Thier work can be seen below.
