I work across all primary ITE programmes but
am Head of Programme for the PGCE Primary Part-time and Flexible
Routes.
I teach upon PGCE professional modules, with a
particular focus on preparing students for school-based
research.
A particular interest of mine is working
within the area of arts education. I teach upon art and design
modules and teach primary music within the PGECE programme and the
undergraduate performing arts module.
Research interests centre around the teaching
of art in schools, working in close collaboration with local
artists to provide students with ‘expert’ knowledge. I also have a
keen interest in Scandinavian Education Systems – the subject of my
Doctoral thesis.
