Technician for the Teacher Education Faculty
I have worked as a technician for the
University since 1973 firstly on the Ripon Campus and then at York
since 2001.
My job is to make sure the practical lectures
run smoothly supporting the lecturing staff. This involves ordering
resources, maintaining stock levels and preparing the equipment for
individual lectures. I also support the students in their
Presentations and display work and loan out equipment for them to
use on School Placements.
My usual working hours are 8.00-4.00 Monday to
Thursday
