Headshot of Linda MasonMy first employment in education was in the Czech Republic where I taught English as a Foreign Language in a state primary school for two years.  Since qualifying, I have worked as a primary teacher in a range of British schools: as an NQT I began my teaching in the London Borough of Merton, before moving to work in the City of York. Whilst teaching across a range of classes in York schools, I became a 'Leading Maths Teacher' for the Local Authority, later progressing to being awarded 'Advance Maths Teacher' status. 

My most recent employment, before joining the faculty of Education at York St. John University, was as a Primary Mathematics Consultant for North Yorkshire Local Authority. 

At YSJ University, I am currently the Maths Subject Leader responsible for developing and coordinating the maths modules across all ITE programmes.
