headshot of Peter RaymondAfter 21 years as a primary school teacher and Headteacher in Leeds and North Yorkshire, I made the move to initial teacher education at York St John University in 2006. I am currently acting Head of Programme for the BA in Primary Education (QTS) degree and I teach humanities, Design and Technology and Professional Studies across both BA and PGCE initial teacher education programmes and I am a PGCE school experience director.

I was accepted onto a PhD course on 2010 with an action research project looking at creative approaches to primary education. In 2010 I  presented at three conferences, one international (EARLI), one nation (BERA) and one local (Leeds Metropolitan University).
