Information

Sue gained her first degree in Theology and Women's Studies at York St John. She was then employed in Theology and Religious Studies as a graduate assistant while she gained the MA in Theology and Religious Studies. Since September 2002 Sue has been a full-time member of the teaching staff during which time she gained her Phd from the University of Durham in 2006. Her thesis explored the possibilities of mysticism providing a bridge between creative writing and theological reflection in the writings of Iris Murdoch, Denise Levertov and Annie Dillard. Her research interests include: theology and literature, women and writing and the role of the visual arts in religious expression.

As a senior lecturer Sue teaches modules on the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The modules she teaches include:
