The emphasis is on research that is particularly centred on the development of practice and informs the curriculum. This research tends to be highly focussed and context specific providing analysis that provides insights of interest both to researchers and practitioners.  The research profile of the Education section at YSJU benefits from the inclusion of researchers with expertise across a wide range of  the education sector- formal and non-formal, pre-school through to higher, adult, and work-based.

Our research activity ensures that undergraduate and postgraduate teaching is informed by contemporary debates, and that research students can develop their skills and knowledge with the support of a strong research culture.
