Kathy’s research interests fall within early years education. She is particularly interested in how early childhood settings can best support young children as multi-modal meaning makers.  She continues to pursue her long-standing interest in young children’s use of drawing as a tool for thinking and learning. Research collaborations with Local Authorities have included Tower Hamlets, North Yorkshire, Hull and Lancashire
