Research interests
The practice and perception of metalanguage in the context of
the primary classroom.
Pupil voice in teaching and learning language and literacy.
Teaching writing in the early/primary years.
The TDA/PNS Leading Partners in Literacy
project, focusing on the teaching of early reading and
systematic synthetic phonics, and the trainee
teacher's progress within this.
