MA in Theology & Religious Studies - Programme overview
The taught MA Programme encourages students from diverse
educational backgrounds and faith positions to engage with the
subject in a mature and critical manner that fosters independent
thinking and learning.
Students may study for an MA Award, or for a postgraduate
certificate or a postgraduate diploma.
The emphasis is on offering a programme linked to the research
specialisms in our subject area that can be tailored to the
different needs and interests of individual students.
The Programme is stranded, and students can choose to specialise
within a strand, or take modules across different
strands.
One of the important features of the Programme is that it brings
together people from a wide range of backgrounds who are linked by
a common desire to better understand the important place that
religion has in today's world. The Programme can be followed as an
end in itself, or as preparation for a research
degree.
