Research Degrees in Theology
& Religious Studies
Research programmes are currently offered
through University of Leeds and include MAs by research and
PhDs.
The Faculty of Education & Theology has a
vibrant research community and provides both in-depth supervision
and pastoral care for research students. Faculty members are
actively engaged in creative and collaborative research projects,
and the Faculty is especially known for its international research
profile in the fields of spirituality and schools, action research,
public theology, peace and reconciliation, and cathedral studies.
There are various innovative projects and centres within the
Faculty, including the Spirit of the School project, Creativity in
Theology and Religious Studies, and the Centre for Religion in
Society, which facilitate research activities of staff and
students. The Faculty also hosts the journal Research in
Education and the International Journal of Public
Theology.
