General Employment Policies and Practices
The University has an extensive range of employment policies
designed to ensure that staff are recruited, managed and developed
fairly and in line with equality and diversity best practice.
The impact of the implementation of key employment policies is
monitored and the results of the monitoring inform the development
of the University’s human resources strategy.
In order to ensure that managers are equipped with the knowledge
and skills to manage the performance of their staff effectively and
fairly all managers attend a training programme that familiarises
them with the University’s employment procedures and gives them the
opportunity to practise the required skills.
