University Managed Houses
In addition to our larger, more traditional residences York St
John also offers University managed houses for between three and
ten students. These are properties owned by private
landlords but with the overall tenancy held by the University, and
have all been carefully selected by our Accommodation Team to
be within walking distance of the main campus, and of a good
standard.
University Managed Houses offer a great option for the student
who prefers a little more independence, whilst keeping the option
of living and socialising with like-minded people. There
is also the peace of mind of knowing that the University is
managing the tenancy and that you will have access
to security staff 24 hours a day, all year round, to support
you if any problems arise.
All students going into University Managed Houses in 2012/13
receive exactly the same benefits as those electing to live in the
main residences, for example the 'Quikpay' catering card.
Because our properties are sourced direct from private landlords
every year it isn't possible to give full details of property
types and locations for 2012/13, but please don't hesitate to
contact us if you'd like more
information.
What will it cost?
Weekly rents vary according to the property type and room
size, but range between £65 and £100 per week, exclusive
of utility bills.
