Your Accommodation - Key Dates

All Year Round: York St John University holds open days throughout the year, and encourage all students thinking of applying to us to make a visit on one of these days. Here you will be able to see some of the accommodation and get a feel for the campus. Find out the dates for 2012/13 open days here
September - January: Usual dates of application to York St John through UCAS
Mid-End May: If you are offered a place on your chosen course and make us your first choice you will be sent an invitation to complete an accommodation application form online (see below)
First Week of August: The majority of students will have their accommodation place confirmed, subject to achieving the required grades for their course
14 & 15 September 2013: Arrivals Weekend

Making your Application

We will ask you to tell us your accommodation preferences:

Single sex or mixed area
Details of any additional needs i.e. on medical/disability grounds
Quiet area
Catered or self-catered
Ensuite or shared bathroom
Shared accommodation or self-contained studio flat
Any religious considerations you would like taken into account
Please note all University residences are non-smoking

Rooms are allocated using the information you provide on your application form, but due to consistently high demand it is not possible to guarantee that all students will be allocated their first choice.
