Residential Support Team

The Residential Support Assistants (RSAs) are managed by the Accommodation Office, and are appointed to York St John residences every year to help provide a safe and supportive living environment.

Students

RSAs are students themselves and aware of the challenges facing students who may be living away from home for the first time.  The RSA's aim is to provide a point of first contact for welfare and security issues, and to signpost students to other services if appropriate.

There is an RSA on duty every night during term-time, including weekends, with rotas and contact details  displayed in all University residences.  All RSAs are fully supported in their roles by the Accommodation Team.

For more information on the RSA scheme please e-mail the Accommodation Team at: accommodation@yorksj.ac.uk

Recruitment of RSAs usually takes place between January and March of each year, but please do get in contact with us at any time if you are interested.
