About us
An in-house team of 65 staff provide a range of essential
services across all University sites, which contribute towards
creating a secure, clean and comfortable environment in which to
work, study and live.
The services provided include:
- General cleaning
- Pest control
- Window cleaning
- Sanitary hygiene provision
- Replacement of faulty furniture and fittings
- Laundry Services
Some of the above services, such as window cleaning, are
provided through an external contractor but are organised and
monitored by the Domestic Services department.
Service Hours
On the main Lord Mayors Walk campus, most of our cleaning is
carried out either early in the morning, or early evening in order
to minimise the disruption to office and teaching areas.
Student accommodation is generally cleaned between 9.00am and
2.00pm. Cleaning days are specified on the rotas displayed in
each kitchen area.
