Facilities Helpline
The
Facilities Helpline provides support to all University staff and
students
requiring help from the Portering Service, Domestic
Services or Maintenance teams. It is the University's in-house system for
booking repairs ranging from roof damage to a dripping tap and
everything in between. It's also there to report health and
safety hazards and minor maintenance issues, request specific room
layouts and office moves, and alert us to a cleaning issue or
problem we might have missed.
Once jobs are raised via the helpline they
are prioritised in order of urgency. Issues which cause the
most risk are dealt with immediately, whereas routine
tasks such as room changes and minor works are booked in to be
dealt with as part of the day-to-day work plan. An
accurate description of the problem enables us to categorise work
appropriately.
In the case of an emergency situation where police, fire
service or ambulance are needed please contact Security on the
first instance.
