The University Health and Safety Committee
Reporting to the Senior Leadership Team and where appropriate the Governing Body, the Health & Safety Committee will provide a forum for the debate and agreement of strategy, policy and procedures in relation to the health and safety of staff, students, and members of the public.
The Committee normally meets three times a year (Sept/Oct, Jan/Feb and May/June).
Chaired by the Vice Chancellor the membership includes representatives from Faculties and Directorates, the Students’ Union, Unison, UCEA and a member nominated by the Governing Body. The Executive Office serving the Committee is the University Health and Safety Officer.
