Higher York is an exciting and innovative partnership between Askham Bryan College, the University of York, York College, York St John University, Craven College and the City of York Council. These organisations work together with the aim of:

  • Increasing choice and improving opportunities for people to access Higher Education and training
  • Helping local businesses to develop their skill base through Higher Education and training
  • Sharing best practice, resources, knowledge and expertise in order to maximise effectiveness and impact on skills for the local economy.
  • Providing clear information, advice and guidance about the Higher Education choices available locally
  • Providing a central point of contact for many projects across the partnership

Higher York is also supporting particular collaborative working by the respective institutional Health & Safety teams and the outcome of this – which may be in respect of training, or access to best practice and specialist expertise, will be shared in due course.
