The Vice Chancellor is the most Senior Officer at the University and therefore has a significant legal obligation to ensure the implementation of legislation and appropriate health and safety controls at the University.
The Vice Chancellor, as Chief Executive Officer of the University, has overall responsibility (to the Governing Body the University's Health and Safety Policy and is assisted in this by the Strategic Leadership Team and the Health & Safety Committee.
