Security Services
York St John University prides itself on having a safe and
secure campus where students and staff can enjoy living, learning
and working in a community environment.
Our security service is provided by Securitas, one of
the UK's largest security providers. A dedicated 24 hour
security team are present on campus 365 days a year. We also
have a comprehensive CCTV network on all our sites, with
cameras strategically positioned on the exterior of the
buildings.
There is a member of the Security Team present
on University property to assist at all times.
Staff and students should make them their first call in the event
of accidents, incidents and problems arising out of
hours.
It is also important that all our students and staff take
reasonable care for their own health and safety and that of others;
a range of useful information can be accessed via the links
on the left, along with tips for staying safe in York.
The Security Lodge is located in the Music Block
opposite Holgate main Reception, no. 23 on the campus
map.
