This specialist programme is a 'pathway' within the MSc Professional Health and Social
Care
Who is the MSc (Housing) for?
The Housing programme is attractive to anyone working in a
health and social care setting with the desire to build their
knowledge and practical experience through relevant
multi-professional learning and research.
The Housing pathway has been designed for occupational
therapists and associated disciplines who are involved in assessing
people's housing needs and contribute to the design of effective
and evidence based housing adaptations.
What does the MSc (Housing) offer?
The Housing Pathways programme gives health and social care
professionals the chance to advance their knowledge and practice in
Housing as well as grounding their learning in their own practical
experiences.
There is a central focus on service delivery, patient
user/experience and outcomes and higher level professional
experience.
What will I study?
The Housing programme's flexibility enables you to fit your
learning around work and life commitments, choosing how long you
take to study.
To complete the MSc (Housing) you must complete the following
modules:
- Introduction to Accessible Housing
- Evaluation of Accessible Housing and Enabling Environments
- Evidence Based Practice
- Use of Research Methods for Health Professionals
- Dissertation
