Psychology teaching facilities within the
Faculty of Health & Life Sciences at York St John include
taught practical workshops which are conducted in the main
psychology laboratory.
Students
can:
- Use the networked computers and specialist software to support
the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data
- Create and run on screen
experiments
- Work in the lab when it is not in use
for teaching
Smaller, specialised psychology laboratories
include:
- A biofeedback lab containing equipment for
measuring physiological responses
- An audio-visual lab primarily
used for transcribing interviews
- An observation room housing a
one-way mirror
- A cognition lab for conducting visual
perception experiments.
