ICT Services provide and maintain all University PCs in teaching
rooms, Open Access areas and Staff offices. All software is managed
by the ICT team and is updated on Student PCs each Summer. The ICT
team also provide and maintain the University network both on
campus and in University accommodation
ICT Services supports the Universities Key Strategic Aims though
the University Information & Communication Technology

The ICT Strategy underpins the University’s
computerised information and communication systems, business
processes and information requirements and relates to all
equipment, owned, operated or facilitated by the University.
Vision
Our vision is of an Information &
Communication infrastructure seamlessly connecting the campus to
the outside world and creating a connected community.
Objectives
Enable the provision of an ICT
infrastructure sufficient to support the University’s mission
and strategic aims by providing a reliable, secure and
resilient information technology infrastructure, thus creating:
- an information technology environment that
encourages information access, communication and collaboration
throughout the University.
- enable the efficient and effective operation
of the University.
- ensure the adoption and implementation of
appropriate Information & Communication Technology
standards.
- provide effective and flexible Information
& Communication Technology support for University
activities.
