ICT Helpdesk
All services provided by ICT Services should be requested
through the ICT Helpdesk.
The Helpdesk aims to:-
- Provide an excellent level of logged job resolution at
initial contact
- Take ownership of logged jobs to ensure call progression
and closure whilst analysing issues raised to identify common
problems, with a view to permanent resolution
- Recommend our IT workshops or training materials if regular
software help is needed
- Be the first point of contact for user requests
- Canvass user opinion on new and emerging technologies
We regret that the Helpdesk team are unable to:-
- Support users' own personal equipment or software
- Make recommendations with regards to suppliers of equipment or
software
- Visit staff or students homes (other than student residences by
special arrangement) to support their own or University
equipment or software.
